I wasn’t always active - and I spent years stuck in the cycle of endless HIIT, cardio, and starting over every Monday. I felt exhausted instead of strong until I found strength training, and everything changed.
That shift inspired me to create Melrose Training: a place where women can ditch extremes, build confidence, and find routines that actually last. With my background as a full-time Registered Nurse and a deep passion for women’s wellness, I bring a balanced, evidence informed approach focused on helping you feel good, inside and out.
As the Founder, I work closely with our training team and personally join all client consults, kickoff calls and check ins, giving every client an added layer of support in their fitness journey.

In your personal training consultation, we’ll discuss your fitness goals, challenges, and experience. You'll meet Mel (our Founder) who will walk you through our training options, answer any questions, and help you decide on the next steps. If you’d like, we can also arrange a virtual meet-and-greet with your potential trainer following the call. Whether you’re new to fitness or looking to level up, this call is all about you and your goals.

No problem! Should you need to travel during your 12-week program, we offer the flexibility to accommodate your plans. This includes the ability to reschedule sessions due to illness or travel, with sessions being conveniently added onto the end of your program to ensure you don’t lose ant of your sessions.

Not at all! We welcome all fitness levels. Each workout includes modifications to suit your fitness and comfort level, and you'll receive direct support from your trainer throughout each session to ensure you’re moving safely and confidently.

Each 50-minute personal training session is thoughtfully structured to maximize results and work towards your individual goals. Sessions start with a dynamic, tailored warm-up to prepare your body, transition into a strength-focused workout designed to align with your goals, and wrap up with a guided stretch to cool-down and promote mobility.

Absolutely! Strength training is highly effective for weight loss. It boosts metabolism (AKA calorie burn) long after your workout ends, and building muscle increases your resting metabolic rate. We start with the basics, gradually building your confidence and skills, and your trainer is always there to answer questions and provide guidance. Our goal is to make fitness a positive and empowering experience for you.

Absolutely! At MELROSE Training, we’re proud to support pregnant and postpartum clients with personalized, safe, and effective training programs. Cherise, one of our MELROSE Trainers, is certified in pre- and post-natal fitness and has years of experience working with clients during all stages of pregnancy and recovery.
Our approach prioritizes your safety and comfort while helping you stay active, build strength, and prepare for the demands of pregnancy and/or postpartum life. If you have specific needs or questions, we’d love to discuss them during your consultation.

Your studio access is always included for your scheduled in-person training sessions. At the Yonge & Bloor location, you also have the option to purchase a monthly membership directly through the studio if you’d like to use the space outside of your PT sessions. The other locations are reserved for personal training only and do not offer independent workout access.

All our in-person training sessions are centralized at our private, state-of-the-art studio located in the heart of Yorkville. This move allows us to offer a more focused and exclusive training experience with access to specialized equipment and facilities.
We also offer virtual training programs which allow you to benefit from our expert guidance and tailored workout plans right in your own gym space.

Our focus is on our expertise - fitness training. While we don't offer nutrition coaching or meal plans, we can point you towards reliable, highly-qualified nutrition experts.

Our personal training is available to women aged 18 and above.

We’re happy to offer a one time trial session when it’s appropriate for your goals and needs, though it won’t reflect the full experience of our personalized twelve week program. A trial gives you a feel for our training style, the studio, and what it’s like to work with your trainer, while the full customization and coaching begin after your official onboarding. If you’re interested in a trial session before committing to the full-program, please book a consultation so we can learn more about your goals and guide you toward the option that will support you best.
